From here, commuters can catch services to destinations including Leeds, Doncaster, Sheffield, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London Kings Cross. Both train stations, Wakefield Westgate and Wakefield Kirkgate, have undergone multi-million pound refurbishments in recent years, making them more accessible, safer and increasing frequency of services. Trains to Leeds run every 20 minutes and a train to London runs every half hour and can whisk you away to London's Kings Cross in just two hours. 

The nearby airport Leeds Bradford is also only 21 miles from Wakefield and provides international flights to anywhere you may desire.
